Inner fenders made with the wrong tools.... Hammer, C-clamps, Angle iron and a torch. Made them out of 16ga.... its overkill.

It is roadworthy... had to drive it to work twice, did 65 down I75. A few not so legal things though so it will stick to running into town occasionally and so on.

Rides great though could use some shocks with a little stiffer valving now for prerunning. They really have to work to keep the axles in place.

Make sure you put a LARGE cooler on your hydro system. I ignored that advice and then had to redesign it. I had trouble finding a place to mount the reservoir high enough to get it above the pump. Ended up pushing it through the hood.
By the way- you will love it when it's done.

Took the brand new steering box that has been lying around for months and painted it. Then ground down a couple smooth spots.

Then i drilled and tapped the box without pulling it apart. Justin helped out by using the shop vac to remove the shavings. It worked really well.

I went quick and simple for my mounts. 1/4" steel just welded to the diff and tie rod. Its simple and works, who needs it to be adjustable?

All mounted in place

I also changed out the calipers and took it for a spin. Works great! Like everyone says it is a little slower then stock but not much compared to how fast i could turn the 38's with out it. It turns real easy now! Also its like a giant over sized steering stabilizer, i don't feel any of my old shimmy.

Jeep has sounded like a tractor for the last year or so all because of the tank trap. I am finally going to replace the whole exhaust system.

Here is why it sounded so bad

The front half was completely separated while the back half was 3/4 of the way th
