Well i told them to take some of my 3m and stick it on there... they ran out and threw some old masking tape on. So yea just haven't taken the time to get it off... was hoping the mud and rain was going to remove it last weekend

Got one side partially welded into place. I decided to add some supports to it but instead of adding 3 or 4 per side like most people i am going to just try one in the front and back so there is nothing to hang up on

The tube fenders will also get attached to the new rocker. Trying to stay away from looking like an exo cage if i can.

I'll be doing something similar ... I'm thinking 4 supports and adding some lightweight hd plastic stuff later for sliders. Kbyfm (screenname), 95geo's dad's tracker has something very similar to what I'm talking about. As a matter of fact, bryce was nice enough to put a picture of it in my build thread.

i plan to do the same with some Delrin when i get the money. One thing i've noticed is that if the slider is not tied into the cage that the b pillar take a ton of abuse and ends up all bent out of shape

Bought a couple lights on clearance long ago. Finally mounted them under the jeep.

I like the rails.
Thinking of 2x3x.250 for mine.
I want to be able to tie the fender tubes into the top of the rails.
Thanks for the tips.

Very nice rockers, I like seeing sliders done this way because cherokees always look like tanks when aftermarket sliders are mounted below the rockers.

Well i finally picked up some axles again and this time they are going under the jeep. Picked up a set of waggy axles, d44 and c20. I was going to run the c20 but the lack of gearing range made me change my mind. So i picked up an isuzu d44 with disc brakes. It came with 4.30 gears and a limited slip. I will be adding a spool i think. and 5.13's Plan is to run 37's or maybe 38's. What ever i can find later.

The plan is to also stretch the wheel base 6"-8" Most of the stretch will come in the rear. the front might stay radius arms or maybe a triangulated 3 or 4 link.

Well i got some work done tonight. Started to stretch the rear. Originally i was just going to flip the leafs and call it good. When i unbolted the leafs i realized i would have to switch the bushings front to back. I never have luck with them coming out in one piece so i decided to just move everything. So back and in the leafs went. Moving the leafs will also make sure i don't get any axle wrap that i was a little worried about.

I used some 3/16 for the new front outer mount and will use 1/4" on the inside. The rear shackle mount is all 1/4 attached to the hitch and bumper. I had planned to add plate between the two but never got around to it. Should be overkill now.

Moved it back quite a bit but didn't measure it, should be around 6"-8"

And in about 3"

And this is about where the tire should sit at droop

Well i have all the new leafs mounted into place and tacked up. I think it may be a little taller then i was planning. Not going to really know till i get the spring pads tacked onto the axle. I slid the axle under and with the large disc flange and calipers the stock width leafs might have been really close.

Well the rear axle is under the rig. I shaved the lip off my 44 also, should be nice and smooth, stock the d44 had more clearance then my old 8.25. So i think i added about 3/4" of clearance there.

Kind of narrow, i will need to run some spacers to get the width i want.
