I deffinetly miss my 2000 Chevy Silverado. 6" Suspension lift, 35" BFG's, 4:10 gears, yeah...it was nice. Never saw off road tho, too perty, thus the reason i sold it and bought a jeep. Anyone seen my truck? I'd like to know if anyone on this site bought it. Sold in Owasso

I bought one of the last of the CJs, 1986 Renegade edition. It was my first new vehicle! I sold it a few years later, I should have kept that one.

Actually, the only car that i sold that I regretted, was my 1991 Honda Civic..

hatchback, nice shape, was going to build it to be a decent car, swap my CRX drivetrain over, etc. Things came up, I ended up selling it(for a nice profit over what I bought it for...)..

But I always was bummed i didn't build it.

Hehehe...

Saturday, I bought its clone.. 1991 Honda Civic Hatch, STD version (oh yeah, its all about the STDs, baby..)

So, I can dust off my integra engine..

No VTEC for me, for now. But once I get my XJ sold, I'll start building this up. 1.8 liter, DOHC. 10.8:1 comp pistons, crane cams, etc, Should be about 170 hp with a really nice torque band in a 2100 lb car.

Well, I might leave the stock 9:1 pistons in there and run about 6 lbs of boost.. haven't decided yet on the slugs..

I know nothing about ricers, but is this a good number AFTER building?

Yeah, 2100 lbs after the larger motor.. pretty good for a civic. Every year, the cars get heavier.

The drivetrain was in a weight reduced CRX, at 1800 lbs. Basically like driving a go-kart to work.

I'm not owrried about overall weight too much, but keeping rotating weight, especially engine speed rotating weight, to a minimum is key. No accessories but an alternator, lightweight flywheel, lightweight pullies. That makes a big difference.

Then lightweight 15" rims, with reasonable tires. No big heavy 17s..

People always laugh as say the motors make no torque, but this setup has a better torque to weight ratio than a Ford Mustang. 4.400 final drive helps.

12.5 lbs/hp, hp ratio is about the same as a 300 hp camaro.., the camaro gets the chicks, I will get 35 mpg. I already have a chick.

OK, back on topic..

I was surprised when Marv sold Wild Thing. was built as good if not better then the grand we have now. Bunch of memories with that jeep. The best was Floating in Canada with it. :miff: or him rolling it where our house sits now.

i havent. I havent ever had anything that lasted long enough other than my DD xj.

When i get a house with a garage and build up a 1st gen 4 runner, CJ8 or unlimited wrangler i will keep it forever most likely. Same with a few other rides i really want a buick regal/grand national/ GNX and porsche 911 speedster ...... and if i get them and make them nice, i would never sell them. NEVER. i would remortgage my house or sell what ever else in reason If i needed money. But if i have a few nice toys i figure i am doing well enough not to have to sell any ride. I just want to add new rides, never sell (except daily drivers)

Talking

Can't say as I regret selling any vehicles. I'm bummed that I bought the Dodge Grand Crapavan for my wife.

As for built rigs I've had the same Jeep for 7 years. I've managed to do a budget boost and 31s. By the time the Jeep is "built" it will be a classic.
