Default Registered vehical a must for seasonal roads ??

Do I need to register my truck to drive it around up north provided i stay on seasonal roads ?? Same senario can i drive my ATV down these roads legally ??

Depends on where "up north" is. If you are talking about the lower peninsula, trails for orv's (quads, bikes, etc) are closed unless posted open. In order for you to legally drive on a forest road, you must have a SOS (secretary of state) licensed vehicle.

So, for your first question, yes you must register your truck. Second, no you cannot drive your quad on them.

On the other hand, for the UP, it is open unless posted closed. So, yes, you can drive your quad on forest roads. I can't answer if your truck needs to be licensed.

Yes the truck needs to have a plate on all forest roads in Michigan
