Finished my 2" RE BB on my WJ.
Take it in for the alignment and the guy says.
"You put those shocks on yourself?"
I say "yep"
He says "Where are the boots for the shocks"
I say "Kit didn't come with any"
He says "If you are going to go in the mud you should get some or you will ruin your shocks because the body is mounted down."
I say "OK", pay and leave.
So here is the question....

To boot or not to boot?

Boots are for show trucks, not off road rigs. They HOLD mud.

Thanks everyone--that was the opinion of 9t9bluetj (who I work with) but I thought I would put it out there.

Besides if I put boots on the shocks--how would everyone see the size of my shaft(s) :tonka:

I made the mistake and ran boots on my old 3.5" bds lift.... when i did my SOA the shocks boots were FULL of mud/sand/water/nasty shit

I get it--you mean the guy at the shop who did the alignment. I won't go kick him in the nuts but I should go "educate" him on what the experts say.
