Scrambler 1/2 top cage

I have a front roll cage in my CJ8 that I designed to be removed so I can use my 1/2 top during the cold Michigan winter months. Unfortunately that leaves me and a passenger unprotected during winter wheeling. I want to put a hoop behind the seats and in front of the stock roll bar to slide the top in between and tie together with the shoulder bolts. My question is has anyone tried this with the main hoop from a CJ7 bar? Just wondering before I cut the kick backs off and find out it will not work. Thanks for any responses.

We have made one where the back of the cage slides into tubes welded to the B hoop. Then you bolt it all together. That way you can remove the back of the cage and pull the top, then bolt it all back together.

rear hoop is a CJ7 hoop, front hoop is just an aftermarket CJ hoop....
