Default Commando Frame / Cowl

:chiefwoohaw: To anyone interested while rooting around the local pull your own part junk yard I cane across a Commando frame ( surface rust - solid) with 6 cyl engine trans/transfer case and both axles. The only body on it is the Cowl ( fire wall to back of the front doors...... If anybody is seriously interested I can get some camera phone shots, and get a VIN off the cowl..... Just let me know:chiefwoohaw:

Brian - If you can identify it as a '72-'73, the Dana 44 rear axle will bolt right into a '76-'86 CJ...it's a good find if this is the case (providing someone didn't want to build the Commando up).

If its a V6 shes a pre 71. Straight 6 is 72,73 with the D44/D30 with saggy steering box. Another way to tell is power brakes and steering usually came on 72-73 models. Or just look at the VIN.
