Default FF D60 Disc Brakes?

I have a full float Dana 60 from a 1979 J20...what's the cheapest way to convert from drums to discs? I've seen a kit on eBay for $295...can I do it cheaper buying parts separately?

clicky

I think you could, but that has all the little crap included, shipping is included, and everything is new. Really depends on how much running around you want to do and whether you want to deal with used calipers & rotors or buy new ones.

I'd just buy the kit.....

I think what I spent was about......

$50 Rotors
$40 Calipers
$40 Pads
$30 flexible brake lines
$10 Caliper slide pins
$8 Banjo bolts

$10 in steel
~$188 total

now I built the bracketry myself, welded it on and was good to go. But I'd done rear disc conversions before.

If you know what parts to buy, and can do the fab work you'll be cheaper doing it yourself. If not buy the kit, that way you'll have everything you need.
