Pokerob is my B*tch!
**SOLD**1988 Bronco II **w/ Pictures**
I have my Bronco II up for sale locally for $2500 and hope to get atleast $2000 for it but
Now lets get to the good stuff. :)
The engine has less then 10,000 miles on it and comes with $1700 in recipts.
I blew the org. engine in it last year and got the new one from a guy on www.therangerstation.com
He is one of those older guys that like to dump lots of money into pointless things, like 2.9 engines. Kinda like building up a 2.5 when you could drop in a small block in your YJ. The engine is bored .30 with new lifters, cam, pistions, timing chain, timing chain adjusters, pistons, rods, and crank. Also has new heads and the aftermarket ones that don't have the FORD problem of cracking.
During the install I had a new clutch put in so that is new as well. It ran like **** at first and had about 15billion codes thrown so had to go through the wireing harness to replace all the cracked wires that happened by moving them while putting the engine in ($400 for that )
New true dual exhast that is brand new ($400)
Also has a new starter and new brakes on all four corners.
It also has less then a year old 235s on it and then you also get a set of 29" Swampers with rims just incase you feel like going to Silverlake or something mild up in Grayling.
The frame is SUPER clean and pretty much all of the undercarrige.
As for the interior it is really clean. There is a rip in the driverside seat but the rest is nice.
Drips oil. Got a quote to have it fixed at $410 but doesn't drip enough to get me to pay that kind of money plus I figure that it's good to get a Bonus quart of fresh oil between the oil changes :D
Rust -- There is a really bad spot right behind the rear wheel under the gas area. The prev owner (good guy David Brady) tried to do a bondo job on it which held for awhile but needs some attention. The lower section on the pass wheel well needs some attention too.
I've got quite a bit of money into this thing and was planning on fixing the rust and keeping this thing for a long time as my DD. The reason I'm letting it go is that my wife just graduated and moved to Chicago for a job and I have a year left of school and picked up a little 4 banger lebron that gets 30mpg or so on the highway. I don't graduate till next december so there is going to be a lot of traveling going on
I just took it on a 9 hour round trip to and back from Chicago with no problems. Really great DD or for your son in highschool to have fun with.
