k.i.s.s.

you cant afford to keep up with the HP competition. put $ into professionally tuning your suspension and make the others look silly.

I agree with ya there randy.I have to pull the motor so might as well do some upgrades. Now that you say that randy.that was my motto when I raced bikes.kept the motor stock and reliable and put all my money into suspension and setup. Damn I hate to say your right!

Old man Jim has an LQ9. I'm happy with the LQ4 with the frosty tune in our jeep. Must have got lucky because it seems to rev just fine. It was good enough to beat Jim in a drag race.. (full disclosure: Jim had an extra passenger and all the tools in his rig... so like 3000# extra)

but I agree. Get suspension sorted, then go after engine until you need more suspension.

What about a stock 5.3 with a bolt on supercharger (maybe a tune and smaller pulley)? Get the power you want and have a stock motor you can easily find and replace for a good price.

Cam specs? Upgrade rod bolts and do the rocker trunion upgrade while it's out. I didn't and really wished I had.

My buddy is building the motor for me.new bearing gaskets.he said he was upgrading the bolts.and a few other things.I'm not a motor guy so I am glad he is doing it.the juggler should get it done now.I talked to a guy that all he does is L's motors.running the combo he told me.said I could get a different crank and stroke it and be 600 horse.I don't need that.

Sure you do. If you want to win, you do. You need louder exhaust too, it makes you faster. Oh, and a mullet.

You'll want some LS3 injectors too.

Or a 40+ lb/hr equivalent at your fuel system operating pressure.
