Are those legal trails?

In high school 90% of the kids with trucks would go back in the 80's. I'm pretty sure that's illegal though so I wouldn't recommend it.

Hills and water holes on public land are illegal unless they are posted as open.

If you have to engage your t-case on Michigans public land you are basically breaking the law. Forest roads must be able to be traversed in a conventional 2 wheel drive automobile.

I went to TC high school graduated in 1990 we used to get canned at the 80's we used to go back in there with a spot light and everyone would yell cops and run, so when they drop their beer you pick it up and put it in the trunk. When they all slowly came out of the woods they were relieved but had no beer!

I was mainly just letting him know there are alot of seasonal roads and two tracks in that area. It was a general statement and i was not condoning any illegal activity.

I have been on the recieving end of a spotlight back in the 80's, except I was parking with my girl at the time. Scared the crap out of us and as we were leaving we passed the spotlight and it turned out it was my best friend and he was laughing his ass off. So in other words, I can appreciate the humor in your beer story.

my club is headed up there in a couple weeks. There are some legal trails in the area. There's been a debate a few times over the kalkaska trails along the power lines. Basically because they're listed on maps as seasonal roads the CCO's are leaving people alone with full size vehicles. Quads and cycles though will be in trouble around there as most of the legal spots you can't physically get to without crossing illegal roads and thats where they nail you with those things.

I'm local and know for a fact people are getting ticketed for driving on those exact trails. Use caution!

This was years ago, but I remember people going to an onion run, and ranch rudolph? Also what about the Vasa Trail? I did the Ice man on that trail there's some good wheeling spots on that, my brother lives in Cedar and said there's trails between there and traverse city just not sure where

eeek. Nothing will piss the hippies off more than us "tearing up" their nature walk trails!!
The Iceman is a race from Kalkaska County to TC...They use the powerlines as well. We used to sit on Broomhead Rd and watch them all crash...

Wow, Haven't been to the 80s in years. Used to practice MX back there
around 80' 81'. Wonder if any of the old Moto-Cross track is still visible ?
Don't remember any kind of Jeep stuff back there, just a few two track roads.
X2 on the ''stay off the Vasa trails'' thing.
