Default Ford NP208 Divorced

is their a strong need for these tcases, i hear a bunch about them, and see them 4sale alot for $200-$400.........the reason i ask is because LKQ in Dorr has a 71 F250 with one in it and they only want $110 for it. Thinking i may pick it up to sell and make a few bucks or atleast inform somebody that may want it for that price

205's are pretty common and dont break often.
Do they sell for 2-400 or are they for sale for that amount? You may be able to sell a 205 to some sucker for 400 but you may have it a while.

Pretty small market, but people who need them will probably pay a lot since they are not common. That's how you end up with that price. If it has factory twin-sticks and the parking brake on the rear output (like on a Dodge), it may be more attractive to a wider range of people. Personally, I wouldn't bother with it for the reason Turd Bronco said. You'll probably sit on it and trip over it for a long time.

Gotta watch those ford divorced cases, you could get stuck with the painfully crappy Dana 21 which lacks low range and strength

I thought all the 21's were married cases, atleast the one that used to be in the old F100 was a married unit with 435.

Nope! Infact 90% of the 67-72s that I've seen (only years ford used the divorced case that I know of) have dana 21s.

Eww....I think you were right man!
A little research indicates that the Dana 21 was ALWAYS married....
The other divorced case other than the NP205 was the Dana 24, which had a 1.86:1 low range. woohoo.
Thats the one I was thinking of....with 1.86:1 it might as well not have low range lol

A 205 and the 203 only have a 1.96:1 low so it isn't that bad.
