i did mine alone in about 4 hours, that included removing everything post turbo, installing a 3.5" Hypermax DP, making my own piping coming off the downpipe and exiting on the pass side of the rig just before the rear tire.

the 6.4 was brought how cause ford dont know how to build a damn motor after the 7.3 motor was dropped... all the lawsuits on the 6.0 motor they were forces to build a new diesel motor

From what I understand, the 7.3 PSD injectors were made by cat or someother worthwile supplier...Ford in its infinite wisdom went to a cheaper supplier / design on the 6.0L, hence the rash of injector problems.

Ford does not build the any of there diesel engines. International does, Ford has had the contract with International to supply them with diesel engines for there light duty trucks for a long time. The first one ford used was a 6.9L, then the 7.3L, then the 7.3L turbo charged ( powerstroke was introduced at this time) then the 6.0L Powerstroke, now currently the 6.4L twin turbo Powerstroke.

fyi the 6.0L had a couple other "differences" besides the injectors when comparing it to the 7.3.

Back on topic, what did you learn watching your hired help swap out yer exhaust?
