Need aftermarket axle shaft help

I fubar'd an ear on the hub end of my axle shaft. Dealer will only replace the entire axle shaft assembly for $352. There's gotta be a better alternative than this route.

Your shopping for a product for your jeep, that product is technology to fit your jeep. Hmmmmmmmm

Where would be the area to ask? The area called jeep tech where answers should be serious, or in the pub where you will be told to use the shaft for buttsecks?

No, but this is an axle question, so it is going in the Axle forum.

These are from Quadratec...they are going to be higher then anyone out there IMO. If I were you I would just try to find a outer from someone on the board. Alot of people have them just laying in the corner of the garage. Might want to upgrade the u-joint why you have it apart.

You might not have the tools, ability, or knowledge to do it yourself. I am sure someone would be more then happy to help for some beer, gas money or nudie pics of your wife! This can be done in a less then an hour and will be good info to know if it happens in the middle of the woods. Good luck

those are entire shafts though. I just need an outer. I found a decent priced d-44 replacement from Northridge for $125.
