carbon footprint. doesnt seem selfish to me. i am sure that all of the proceeds go to planting trees and saving toby.

I would actually rather sell my F-150 instead of the buggy, but I dont think anyone will pay 26K for that truck

I now own a 97 Escort for a DD.. That is more because Gas is at 3.25 a gallon

Jeep is down to about 1500 miles per year.

Now that I work from home even the van is down to about 5000-6000 miles per year.

We have the Curly Que lights and run only ceiling fans until it is over 90 outside.

We power down PCs at night...

Global warming or not, with energy being as pricey as it is we are doing what we can to concerve, because it is good for our budget and if it is good for the planet that is also good.

I ate a can of Campbell' Split Pea Soup with Ham this AM and have been causing excessive high winds in the Tri-Cities today.

Besides, global warming was global cooling 15 years ago and is a bunch of horseshit.

must be why they found leftovers of insects that can only live in warm climates in greenland, so much for global warming.

I've always found it interesting (and quite amusing) that the die-hard liberals with their POS cars covered in hippie/tree-hugging bumper stickers give off more emissions than a Semi that desperately needs a tune-up, or something to that affect. If they were so worried about the environment, wouldn't they drive a car that doesn't continuously burn oil accompanied by a blue puff of smoke when they step on the gas or first start up the car? Seems like an oxymoron to me. Just for that reason, I wish Michigan had emission standards to get those POS cars off the road. I had being stuck behind one of those cars and you have no choice but to smell the oily air that they puff out.

I sold my 22mpg subaru for a 65mpg kawasaki; mostly to save money, not the earth. My toyota hasn't moved under it's own power in over a year We're working on that. Oh and I own nothing with over 6 cylinders. The only reason I upgraded to a V6 was to be able to tow my enclosed trailer without my vehicles getting all pissed at me.

I think it is funny how many people on here think it is a myth. Thats your choice, I am sure you are somewhat informed, and have made an educated stand. I however, do not think it is a myth. I will admit I could be doing ALOT more. However, it is an investment. I would love to replace my pick up with something, better, or something that could run bio-diesel. I do not run AC, at all. I don't run AC in my truck. I don't leave lights on when not home, or not in the room. I do try to buy green products, which have less of an impact on the environment. I also donate to organizations like: Rock the Earth.

I help pioneer new powertrain, controls and aftertreatment technology. That's enough for now.

Oh, and:

I think it's funny how many people think it's not a myth but don't bother to do anything significant to stop it. Everyone wants the government or industry to do something about it while they go about their usual business living in large houses, driving large vehicles, and not really wanting to give up anything to make a difference.

Myself, I don't do much that doesn't also benefit me financially also, besides a little recycling.

I've actually cut down on driving alot. not only does it save me money, but it saves gallons of fuel from being burnt.

I try to recycle, I have no say on where i live right now (i am one person is a 3500 sq ft house that is outside of town) so i can't say i am doing my part there.

i cut back to one refrigerator, to use less electricity (i don't even pay the electric bill) i try to water everything minimally, don't shop at wal-mart, try to buy goods from countries that have pollution standards.

and to cut back on laundry i am a nudist
