Default XJ 4.0 Header ?

Is the exhaust manifold on a 4.0 tubular looking like a header or is it cast like most every other factory setup.
It looks like the XJ I just bought might have came with a header.
Thanks Mike

My 98 TJ came with a tubular factory manifold.

They crack.

Banks has made a fortune off it.

all 4.0L headers or Exhaust manifolds are tubular design and yeah they crack mostly around the collector.

I have a few websites for Bronco related stuff .

In general, www.naxja.com has most answers. North American XJ Association..

4.0 HO motor
AW4 4 speed automatic, all electronic controls. (Aisin Warner, same trans in the Toyota trucks and 4 runners, and Mitsubishi Monteros).. gears are about 2.8:1 ist, and a 0.705:1 4th gear..

NP231 T-case

Dana 30 front, either a Dana 35 (7.5" ring gear, 1.1875" 27 spline shafts) or a Chrysler 8.25 (8.25" ring gear, 27 or 29 spline shafts.).. axles...

Probably 3.55 gears, thats what was factory.

With 32s, 4.10 gears would be no problem, with the nice overdrive. I want to switch mine to 4.10s with a rear limited slipwith my 31s(I'm also probably going to 32s when these wear out)...I'm thinking I'd find an explorer 8.8 with factory 4.10s/LS/discs and swap that..
