Some how I doubt this statement is true. There is more brook trout down there then I have seen in most areas in michigan.

That sucks, especially knowing how much time and effort is put into the area by members of SFWDA (similar to GLFWDA) to help preserve the trails of Tellico.

They have a goddamned hatchery only a few miles away from that place.

And how is a little mud killing fish off not like the shit is contaminated. If you accounted for all of the land that feeds rain runoff into the streams and rivers what percentage of that are the trails. Very little I would guess.

The people in those surrounding communities would be really hurt without the Monster Trucks tearing 7' holes in all of the trails.

In all of the years that I have been there I have only ever seen a few deep muddy holes. They usually attack the wash out areas very well with gravel and logs etc.

What a bunch of bs, at least it didn't happen the same year as Paragon.

this is what I don't get. they say this...

Quote:
With ORV use growing rapidly in the South's national forests, our legal action aims to make clear to the Forest Service its responsibility to get on top of the problem now.
and then suggest the solution is to close down more areas.

If it is "growing rapidly" shouldn't they be trying to also trying to "rapidly grow" the areas open to ORV's?

who refers to their rig as a "Monster" truck anyways?

serious, is anyone running around on 66" ag tires? with 1500hp big blocks that burn 20 gallons of fuel every 5 minutes?

the story is a bit biased......

so fishermen kill/harm fish as their sole purpose of being in the sport and see no problem with it?

its a never ending battle with the greenies, whoever is smarter (the case with area bfe in moab) or has more money will always win.
