Default June 30th Frederick Loop Trail

My parents and some friends are going to be camping in the area and I plan on going up there Saturday and checking out the Frederick Loop Trail. Not sure what to expect terrain wise, but if nothing else it will be a chance to get out. If anyone is interested or is going to be in the area let me know.

I was up there a couple of weekends ago. It's pretty tame. And this is from somebody with a stock jeep.

When I was up there it had all been graded out recently. It was flat, dry, wide, and very few challenges. I have been on seasonal roads much more exciting.

I'm actually going to be heading up that way on Saturday to go camping by Petoskey. I would check it out with you, but I'm going to be loaded with all kinds of camping gear, and don't want to get my shit all dusty.

if your taking quads then you will have fun. if your driving the route then it might be a bit sandy for you. its only 9 miles and the ATV trail is 29 miles, its very tight and slow.

Yeah, like I said my parents are camping like 5 min down the road and I saw that the trail was right there so I figured I would check it out. I don't expect it to be very difficult, just something to do.

I was looking at the DNR's website and I will probably hit up the Beaver Creek trail too.
