Default The Badlands - Attica, IN (6/16/17)

I swore I wasnt going again for awhile but somehow got dragged into going with BlueXJ and his friends. Had a good time despite my steering box spewing fluid all day, had to stop and refill the steering pump 3 times . Guess its time for hydro assist.

Most of the pictures:

some highlights

nice little TJ with our group

resently restored CJ, he had some hub problems half way through the day so he just parked and rode

BlueXJ climbing the tree

me making the corner to line up for the climb, just thought the picture looked cool

bye bye beadlock bolts

posing for the camera :tonka:

BlueXJ gettin some too

sweet XJ wheelin in front of us, rear 4-link w/quarter elip, front 4-link w/coilovers

spotting me around a stump that stopped me dead in my tracks

BlueXJ getting around the tree that broke my CB antenna

next time more throttle buddy, :tonka:

group shot in the rock garden

Hmmm Power Steering Pump spewing fluid had to refill 3 times. Gee there goes the enviroment. That is like 3 quarts of power steering fluid all over the Badlands.

How is this a responsible wheeler.

Oh who cares he had fun doing it. Yeah right.

Better yet if your truck is leaking that bad maybe you should park it till you get it fix instead of damaging my enviroment. And possibily having the Bad Lands Closed. I drive 3 hours to go down there and I have a lot of fun when I do. It is one thing to leak fluid into the ground from an accident or damage that is occured while on the trail. But it is another thing to take a truck with an obvious leak out on the trail and spray contaminated fluid all over the place. Especially one quart shy of a gallon.

That's Randy's rig ... I've been wheeling w/ him for a few years now.
Definitely a well put together rig and tough as nails ... now :tonka:

This is the rig that pulled "Jarhead" (an new H2 w/ a bombed t/case and front axle ... dead weight) out of the woods a couple years ago earning an H2 Recovery Team logo.

Also, the rig on the right in my avatar!

Great Pics.

And bigcountry, I don't think that Troy is going to close his money making park for a couple of quarts of PS fluid. And it is good to know that you have never ever spilled anything in YOUR environment. I garuntee that you have urinated in the woods, that really makes me angry due to the fact that there are nitrates in the urine that could be harmful to the foliage.

There were actually a few gallons of oiled poured right outside the shop there. You could see and smell it for about 100 feet. I'm sure thats good for the environment too, maybe you should call up the park and bitch at them for pouring it out.

Shit happens whether its planned or not.

I would look into the reasons why parks get closed..... i'd be willing to bet not one case is because the owner was upset about damaging the enviroment, more so the EPA, local Gov't or local residents had these concerns....

Troy does own the park, but that photo doesn't look like Troy.

could it be a worker with the name of Randy?
