Default Gov wants to tax our fun!

If you haven't heard about the "new" plan to help fund the state for their screwed up way of budgeting then you need to check out this site. I have season tickets to the Lions and in my opinion I pay too much already and with this new tax it would increase it to an absurd amount. For example if you have 4 season seats to the Red Wings you pay about $600 in taxes when you pay for the season. With this new tax you would pay approx $1900 in taxes for the year. This doesn't even include the price of the tickets! It's just taxes. From what I've heard it would also increase the price for other things like concerts and even going to the movies. Were already taxed on our paychecks, we shouldn't be taxed on our fun!

I have heard about this...

That sucks. Its no longer goin to be "affordable" for families to go to the ballpark.

Jenny From The Block should take a paycut. Everybody is losing their job except for her. She is an idiot.

Her famous line..."And in five years...you're gonna be BLOWN AWAY..."

We're blown away alright.

umm, this has been proposed for 6 months now.

Granholm is a liberal cunt, and this state will be ruined for a long time if this happens

I heard an interview with her today, and she said this:

"If a single mother of three has to pay 6% sales tax on winter coats for her kids, I think the rest of us can afford to pay a tax when we join a country club to help her out".

I cannot believe someone with this logic was elected, and it makes me so mad, I don't want to talk about it anymore. This is straight up socialism.

I wanted to call that governor bitch up and tell her its not my fault the single mother of three can't keep dicks out of her, why should I be taxed because of this?

There is an upside. Small one, but still there.

The unemployed but mysteriously wealthy hoodlums will have to pay taxes finally.

no way. You don't understand how it works.

People who are on government assistance will either be exempt from this tax, or will receive a larger sum of government assistance to deal with this cost of living increase. Its a complete circle of financial death.

Just like when the minimum wage goes up, it hurts EVERYBODY and fucks with inflation.

Classic liberal class warfare.

Apparently, there are only two groups of people in MI - single moms of three and country club members. At least Jenny includes herself in the latter (i.e. "we"). And apparently, all single mothers are low income and need help.

Dear Jenny;

I don't want to help her out. I'd like her to start helping her own damn self - and if it takes years or even decades of deprivation to sufficiently motivate her, then so be it. Your ilk ( ) created this problem by enacting LBJ's "Great Society" and destroying much of our country. Cut the mole off. Get a clue.

Love,

Duffman

i dont understand why companies like GM, Ford, and Chrysler are going to continue to stay in this state. when they can leave and go to another state and not have the union to deal and the constant increase in taxes. Its not worth it to them to stay here and have to pay ridiculous amounts in taxes. Soon this state will be even worse than it is now. It is constantly going downhill.

What pisses me off the most about this, is she is trying to make us feel guilty for being able to afford nice things, and nice times out with our families. I REFUSE TO FEEL BAD THAT I CAN AFFORD A TIGERS GAME AND SOMEONE ELSE CANNOT. I have worked my ass of for the luxory of going to a tiger's game, or having a Jeep that I can beat on. I REFUSE to make up for your mistakes, by having the things that I have worked hard to afford taxed even higher. Fucking bitch.

Let me know, I will be there.

I gave her the benefit of the doubt for so long, blaming Engler for the mess he left, but I can't anymore. She needs out bad.

I don't think there was as much a mess as some wanted to believe.

I do believe that the whole mentality of this state is in the shitter and has been for a long time. Now its finally catching up to them. Unfortunatley those whom started some of this mess get to watch safely from the side lines while some people that took advantage of the road the forfathers paved by taking right up the ol shitter.
