Default XJ rear bumper

Last summer My grandpa and I built the front bumper and I made the rock sliderz, decided it was time for a swing out before headed back to college.




Welding in the reciever





Spindle arrived today, so further pictures will follow, any advice/ tips are appreciated.

Looks good so far. Make sure you tie it into the frame rails better. The extra weight of the tire and swing out will crack the 8 stock holes. I would run some .250" plate, with nuts welded to it, inside the frame rail useing the factory hatch holes. Then weld them to your mounting set-up you have.

planning on doing some plating on the top, didnt think of using that to help tie it in, also am going to run some strapping to the bumper from where the old hitch mounted.

Looks good! Spend a little more time with welding and grinding to make it look smooth, then it'll look even better
