I did cold turkey and did it just fine. Of course my sugar and caffeine intake sharply rose at the same time.

Thanks, I'm trying. It's trying not to snap at people is almost as hard as not lighting up.

I've tried quitting a few times. I did patches and gum at the same time. I was fine until I had to take a six hour drive. I made it three hours and I gave in. Lately, I've been cutting back slowly, and hopefully cut back until I'm down to a few a day, then one, then none.

It sucks that even though you quit...the cravings are always going to stick with you.

Not much of a smoker myself, but good luck with quitting. For me, the goverment and Taxes will keep me from being an addict, not so much the bad health effects.

Never quit quiting... Don't give up! Never cheat! Tell your self that if you have one smoke you are going to buy a carton...because you will start again...

Make it a control issue with your self.. Who is in control, you or the smokes??

I went cold turkey 9 years ago... No smokin' to this day...

Best of luck

Never smoked. Had a friend that quit, he ate Lifesavers ALL the time. The green ones, think they are wintergreen. He has never smoked since then.

Good luck with quitting!
