Seriously, if you aren't grossed out by blood, sick people, dead people, etc. the hospital is a great place to work. And there are a lot of jobs available where you don't need any type of medical training to do them.

I think that is jello! They just have crazy about of jobs out there, anything you want to do and a lot of the places are willing to train people who want to become plumbers or electricians or pretty much anything. I'm gonna stay driving truck and drive local and make a couple hundred more $$$ per week then I am now driving OTR!!! Plus they have a 37% lower cost of living then Michigan so theoretically I could take a pay cut and live the same i do around here. Plus we get to live in the mountians and I get outstanding hunting!!!!

Nena-J....I'm in the same boat you are in.
Company cuts back due to lack of work...so we end up looking for a job. Keep your head held high. Everything happens for a reason and everything always works out in the end. It just means that there's a better job out there that you will LOVE. I didn't really like my last job either so I am happy that I got laid off...but wish I would've had another job lined up before I was laid off.
It'll work out for ya, I have faith in you & in the economy.

:) Thanks for your kind words Mudgrl... and trust me I am the number one to believe that everything happens for a reason. It was time to move on. For what? I don't know it yet, but I'm sure I will know soon. Sometimes it is like you need a little "push" to do what you are suppose to do or get where you need to get.

I also am a firm believer in "everything happens for a reason" not exactly sure what I was suppose to learn out of my accident, but really glad it turned around.
