have you tried using this rule to help keep trails open? we use it all the time to establish a public right of way to keep our trails open.

while the law was repealed in 76 there is a grandfather clause for exsiting routes.

well the info is good, I don't now how we could apply it here, Alaska is managed by the DOI and the BLM, here we have the DNR (Don't Need Roads), they seem to wiggle out of anything that would give any kind of access to powered vehicles of every kind Human or otherwise. aside from USFS run land we have little control over what happens in the halls of Lansing, the last Governer got the Rec areas closed to ORV use with one feld swoop. the DNR claim they are closed by a grant program that was never inforced , but I have never found that in ANY info anywhere. the excuses are piling up and they are going to find themselves in a corner soon.
