6900 lbs, 700 lbs max tongue load, anything over 5k requires sway control & load distributing hitch.

Well, its more or less a 1/2 ton truck, and weighs 6500 lbs, which is what my last 3/4 ton ext cab long bed 4wd dodge weighed.

So, the GCWR is similar to a comparable 1/2 ton truck, but due to the heavier weight and shorter wheelbase, the towing capacity is reduced.

It should handle pulling a Jeep on a small flatbed, like most any 1/2 ton will these days.

5500 lbs without sway/load levels would kill your sonoma on the highway.

Yea, that's about right. My '01 Ram is rated at 7600 lbs. That H2 also weights alot more than most half tons do.

I thought the ZR2 package had slightly less towing capacity than a standard Sonoma?

the ZR2 package had a really light capacity when I looked at it.. payload was like 800 lbs which is including passengers.

I thought about buying one, but between the bed only being rated to hold 400 lbs and the suspension just killed me. I test drove one in Rochester in 97, drove it over some bumpy roads, my kidneys actually hurt for 2 days.

Went down the road and bought a TJ and an XJ instead..

Mine was rough ride at 1st once u get about 5k on the odometer the suspension settles real nice and makes for a suprisingly soft ride. unless u play with the torsion bars like i did...

Thanks Yett as Grandman sent the link the other day. They have some cool stuff in there. Hagger I've been towing the same jeep and trailer for 2 years without any sway or load bars and no problems. Hell next time I need toilet paper or anything fucking else. I'll ask Hagger as he is in every dam post now anyways!
