Nice shade of baby blue, highlighted by just a hint of rust. Only see one pic though. Looks like it'll be fun.

You have to go to the directory where the photo is posted. Corrected link:

It looks like a pretty solid basis for a project, bigcountrysg. You should post up some specs. It looks like it may be a '80ish model. ???

It is a 79 CJ-7

The Plan is stock 350 4 barrell, th350 tranny, converted NP203 transfer case, going to run stock axles till they break. 33 swampers. As it sits there are 33's on it. I want to keep it road legal, but trail capable. I am going to repair the body and paint it with ford tractor grey paint. Leaving the top black and the rims black. I am going to reupholster the seats in black. I know it has a locker in one of the axles I just don't know which axle yet. I have to redo the brakes, fuel lines, shocks, tierods, suspension needs new shocks.

I think I got a good deal considering the body is pretty much solid and so is the frame and axles. I only paid 500 bucks for it. I have had it for a year and now I am starting the build up on it. If any of you experinced CJ builders wanna come over and give me a hand I will supply steaks and beer.

I am a ford and chevy guy but I always wanted a jeep.

I have a narrow-track Dana 44 with 30-spline 1-pc. shafts, 3.73 gears, and heavier-duty 11" brakes for $100, if you're interested in an inexpensive upgrade.

For $500, I'd say you got a very good deal finding something that solid.

ok so the engine is just about ready for install. I got a change up on the drivetrain though. I am using a th400 tranny now and a dana 300 t-case. So who wants to come help me do the install once I have everything ready.

I am in Willis Mi I am down by belleville, milan area. South east of Ann Arbor by 20 minutes. I should have the rest of the drivetrain by this weekend. Hoping to have it all inside the frame rails by the end of next week.

Ok this weekend the build will begin. I am taking the body off the frame. The Jeep is still sitting as it is shown in the previous Pictures. If someone is looking for something to do this saturday afternoon let me know or if you know where I live stop on by.

I need to get the body off and stripped so it is a bare tub. That way I can start the build process. If I am able to I would like to get as much done as possible this weekend on this jeep.

I hope to fire up the grill and maybe throw some steaks or something on it as well.
