Default First time at the mounds.... Hoooooly S*it!

Just got back from the mounds for the first time. My jeep did pretty well, I followed some guys around, Muddinguy, weasel, and I think something like Lepeer then some numbers and a couple other guys. Had an awesome time. I did what you guys said about watching other people go through puddles first. There was a 4wheeler that I'm pretty sure is still there in the mud up to the seat. Sounds like I need a winch more than I thought. Never having gotten stuck before (cause never been before) when you're wheels are spinin and you're barely movin it feels like your hearts going to stop. I don't know how you guys get some of those people out! It looks like it could easily be a grave yard for jeeps and trucks with your only option being a helicopter lift out of there.
Anyway Mongo it sound like I missed you and some other guy's by about an hour. Damn it. Can't wait to go there again, hopefully I'll get to meet more of you guys and gals soon.

The missing link to getting my damn Jeep in running condition is a radiator!

I know of a couple guys that have one available, but I'm reallllly short on money.

As soon as I rob a bank or something, I'll be seeing everyone out there too.

I see everyones pictures and I get so jealous. I bought the Jeep, drove it for a month or two, and then took it apart to fix it up.

Did you guys happen to take any pictures?

If you have it on your computer already, just click "Go Advanced" instead of "Post Quick Reply", then click "Manage Attachments."

You can upload them on here right from your computer.

To semi-quote someone on here, you now have the offroad equivilent of herpes, aka Mounds mud. You will never get rid of it.

The real rush I haven't experienced yet is when you stop forward movement and water/slime/mud starts coming in.
