That is cool!!! as a kid I would help my gramps out with his trap lines. Someday I would like to get back into it. what are you getting for the beaver pelts these days?

I thought your arms looked familiar, the project is looking good!

Roadhouse's arms on the small pic, we ended up having to put a small bend in them to get the knuckles sitting right.

I read that in Roadhouse's build, that's why I waited to weld the tube to the C until I set the caster. Thanks for the tip.

I haven't sold any in a few years but they're not worth much, $25-$30 for a large blanket, stretched and dried. I have them soft-tanned and keep most of them.

Got some more done over the holidays.

Rear links fabed up.

Primered up. Note that there are five, I built a spare while the assembly line was going.

Assembling the Johnny Joints into the links.

Finally, a good replacement for the pine mock ups. I cycled it with the 38's on it and there will be very little fender trimming needed.

Front arms finished, note the bend for propper caster angle.

Front arm installed. With a 4 degree C bushing I have 10 degrees of caster at ride height.

The axles are finally held in.

Fabbed up some motor mounts out of DOM and urethane spring bushings.

Engineering the steering and track bar for propper geometry. The box and track bar are off of the full size bronco. Got some parts coming to make things adjustable.

Raised the track bar mount on the axle to make the geometry better with the drag link.

The new crossmembers under the motor and over the rear axle.

excelent build... looks awsome, keep up the good work. one question: did you just cut down the radius arms so the new tube would fit over the out side of it then slide on and weld it to the "c" halfs??? thanks, Eric

I cut the arms off about 6" back from the C, then split the tube so it would go all the way up to the C. Installed it in the truck to set the caster, then trimmed the edges of the stub so they were flush with the tube and welded the slot.

I'm not close enough to plan any trips yet. The plan is to have it running in the spring, but that is looking a bit optimistic right now. Every time I rush to get it done, I end up re-doing it the next day.
