Intake, Carb, Dist and some type of ignition system. Ignition can be anything from a stock ford DuraSpark or a MSD box.

You wont need any of the emisions for it to run.

ok thx Icebreaker. What about the wiring harness? Is the carbed motor easier to wire than the efi?

Very little wiring on a carb motor. But like mentioned above Fuel injection is the only way to go. I am in the process of swaping out my carb'd motor in my Bronco for a Fuel injected Mustang motor.
And no carb'd motors dont have a computer. They will have a ignition box which which will only require a ground, constant power(most aftermarkets not sure on stock) and a key on power wire. Then the distributor will be wired to the ignition box, which should only be 2 or 3 wires.

The way I swapped mine over is get a HEI distributor designed for ford($100), electric fuel pump or regulator to get it to 5 to 9 psi, correct intake and a one wire alternator and a switch or relay powerful enough to shut down the engine. Its fairly straight forward, but vacuum routing will be completely custom to your application.

Love my TBI 300 6 and won't go back to gay carbs EVER

your EFI 302 has the most modifiable EFI system ever made...twEECer rules!!!
Probably has the most potential of any EFI system out there, and you can convert it to mass air easy enough for more perf.

to each their own..
