Default Dana 44 scout axle high steer

Really want to do a high steer kit on my jeep with scout dana 44
So far haven't been able to locate a good place to get the parts under $800. Anyone have any suggestions for cheaper?

Thanks

1 buy a scout 2 dana 44
2 buy a late 70s chevy dana 44 with flat tops and small bearing spindles
3 mill, drill and tap the passenger side knuckle
4 buy ford 5 lug hubs/rotors
5 assemble scout housing, chevy knuckles, chevy caliper brackets, chevy calipers, chevy spindles and ford 5 on 5.5 hubs
6 furnish with highsteer arms of your choice.

your going to be into it for about $800 nomatter how you do it unless you already have the parts laying around. for what its worth i have about 2400 into my front dana 44 alone. (highsteer, detroit, chromoly shafts, nothing too fancy)

IIRC you can use the scout knuckle and just have them milled and drilled. Shouldn't be out that much then.
