Default 1975 (ish) Toyota FJ 40 Lansing 2K

What I know. Its got an assembled title in MI, listed as a 1975, but I dont think that is accurate.
As noted it has early style front doors. but rear ambi doors. and short jump seats. The hard top keeps the water out as far as I know. It would be nothing better than a trail hard top. Since owning 5 FJ40s over the years I get picky on describing parts. If its not super clean then its for a trail rig. That way theres no hard feelings.

Short rear Jump seats. Very good shape.
Hard top with ambi doors
2F 4 speed and transfer Motor has Weber carb.
36x 14.50 x 15 swampers on steel wheels, 1/4 life left.
Front seats, buckets nice shape with original lap belts,
Red "T" steering wheel. think these only came on 1973 models.
Sprung over front and rear axles. cut and turned, rear is welded.
Damn near new BDS 2.5 inch lift springs with poly bushings,

Overall the rig is a trail rig nothing more. The Driver spring hanger is rotted out. its there and straight but needs attention.... There is alot of bondo on the body. The body looks fine from 10 feet but it is NOT an OEM original mint shape anything.

The interior is in good shape, most likely from having the hard top on it. All the glass is there. and in good shape.

It starts, runs and drives, and is pretty complete.

Like I said, A little work and it would probably be a nice trail rig. the hard work has been done. It just needs TLC. It has a full cage which is welded into the floor and tied into the front bumper. Some spots in the floor have been replaced. Again read this is not a mint by anymeans 40.

I am trying to be as honest as possible.

If your interested in it for 2K shoot me a PM. I can give you an address to come see it. I have posted a few photos here and have more if you want them.

Would be interested in a tow dolly, and some cash.

Yota parts I would be interested in, Longfields, lockers, I need a set of 4good 15" tires to tow my other truck with. Like street tires.

Can you post a pic on the rusted driver side spring hanger. Also could you take a couple more pix of the interior cage and maybe a straight on side shot. How is the brakes/exhaust/clutch/heater? (Trail wise not daily driver wise)

Thanks,

Eric

as requested, The fist pic is from the inside. second is blurry but from the outside looking in. Maybe a quarter sized hole.

Brakes seem to stop fine. I dont really trust 30 year old rear drums with 36 inch tires but thats just me. I would adjust and inspect the rears at minimum.

Exhaust as the factory manifold. down tube is good, going to a new muffler dumping rightunder the driver seat. Set up to be a great rock catcher....

Clutch seems fine. I got a spare one with the truck, I dont know if it was meant to be put in for the current one or if it was a spare. but I have been able to drive and shift fine up and down the street.

The heater works, it has rear heat as well but I have not messed with it.
