I find anyone getting a wall piece shallow but thats just my personal opinion. I view tats as personal art. They can very well have personal meaning behind them, however you can also get them as art.

The trendy tats now are navigational stars. I find it amusing and silly. In 25 years you'll have to explain it to someone

Not really a fan of them, either.

Unless its a fat girl, and she has a tattoo above her ass that says: "NO STEP" in stenciled letters.

i think tattooes on woman are hot as hell.

i also hate that stupid stereotype about the "tramp stamp", "bullseye", or whatever else people call it.

most people would like their tattooes to be seen. what's the point of getting nice artwork and then hide it. so most guys get it on their arms or legs. well woman wear shirts that show belly and back, so that would be a logical place to put a nice tattoo that can be seen.

now i'm not saying that every girl get's it there for art. i know there are tons of them that do it as a trend or to be cool. of course that is stupid. but i personally know several girls who have their own custom designs tattooed, and it's hot as hell.

She mentions she just got a new tat and says want to see . Flips her shirt off and she never wears a bra , im not one to flinch and i think my lack of reaction sort of bothered her . With out much expression i just said yep looks nice , your boob job come out pretty good too .
and personally i've never seen a woman expose herself like that just to show her tattoo. that sounds more like she wanted to show her breasts and used the tattoo as an excuse.

equineolove:......your idea about the eye with the horse in it sounds really awesome. with a decent artist, i could see that being a show piece.

Since my wife has a few, I am a fan of them. Done right, they look good. Lot of stereotype about them. it is a personal thing, great thing is, tattooed people don't care if you don't have one.

Yours sounds pretty cool, would love to see some artwork on it. If you are going to get one, get it for you, and you only. With what you described, I'd suggest maybe the back near the shoulder area? Just a thought.

(and yes, I do have 4 tats myself, guess I'm easy!!)

I think it all depends on the girl.
Tattoos can be cute depending on what they are and where they are.
I think a major yuck is when a girl has it on the lower part of her back and shows it off- along with her butt crack and thong!

It also depends on how she shows it off! That can be a major factor!

I've heard that girls who have lower back tats like back door entry. I know it's ridiculous to think thats true of all but hey It's something I've heard.

As far as tats go, I like some of them and not others. I don't have any and prolly won't ever get one but I think that can be very cool - especially if there a purpose and a meaning behind it.

Thanks Ice, This would be only for me, like angel said, I have been thinking about it since last year a lot but it even started about 4 years ago when I thought I wanted one. well I keep thinking about it so i think that is a sign that i do want one it was not just a trend. Do you have any places to reccomend to go to? that is one thing that i am scared about! i went to XS tattooing and piercing in rochester for my bell button. and i was thinking about going there for my tat as well? if you or anyone has N E recomendatinos that would be great!

some I like, some I don't.

the gupta ones that deke has posted are amazing works of art. unfortunately, in my opinion, too few tattoos are actually "good art".

too many are trendy things that kids have done, or as part of wanting to "fit in with" :

Frat/Sorority
Biker club
Wheeling Club
Fire House Club, etc.
