It was a good site when I joined back in 03. then he kept doing "improvements" that killed off parts of the site one by one. It was best when there was the recovery list, etc. thats when there were the most people there who cared to wheel, and the site had things that made it worth going to. the last forum change totally killed it.

Some folks are genuinely misinformed when it comes to the death of forums websites. I have seen many sites slip by the wayside and every single time its always been when the person in charge fades to non-existence. Many sites do not survive changes in ownership either. Rubicon Owner's forum for instance lost alot of members when the founder parted with his admin role. Many sites die because the people that post the most often lose sight of the fact that there are real people behind the screen names they are bashing and insulting on a daily basis.

The internet is like a big bar room and when people bug you too much you either go to another table or you leave the building. I know a few people that have chose to stop being active on the internet altogether rather than put up with the garbage that is spewed upon them daily. That in itself I think is a shame. Because thats fewer people for our fight to keep land open and fewer people to sell/buy products to.

So, with that said, why don't we all raise our high and say thanks to MJ and all the sites that have done their best to bring us together and remember, we're a 4x4 family no matter how deep the stink gets.

here's a thought, why hasn't anyone mentioned it over on MJ yet?

I have no problem believing that Kelly talked to Jeremy about it, and/or that the final nail may soon be going into the coffin (after all Kelly seemingly has the entire phone book in his phone, and the site has slowed more than a little tically in the past year or so)

Just seems that the right thing to do, would be for Jermey, and/or the mods to make a post about it over there to control the rumors. :dunno:

And Lothos, agreed, and very well put - thanks for making me tear up a little you jerk!

Is this why you act young in the online chat forums?
