Cummins/Dodge, The '03 and newer have the common rail fuel system - much more reliable than the '97 to '02 ISB. A guy I work with has an '03 with 490,000 he delivers travel trailers as a side job - this is the newer 48RE trans - never had any problems other than normal maintenence. The new 6.7 is only different in the hardware, the fuel system is basically the same since '03.

As a side note and this is top secret - Chrysler is going to use the Cummins V-6 ( 4.2 270 hp, 420 torque) and V-8 ( 5.6 325 hp, 500 torque) diesels around 2010 for 1/2 ton trucks, Durangos, and possibly Jeeps.
