i have an 87 dodge dana 44 front axle. my question is can i put chevy, or ford knuckles on the dodge axle?

and are the dodge spindles interchangeable with other 6 stud bolt patterns like chevy and ford?

The knuckles, depending in years, should be okay. The ford spindles only fit on ford knuckles.
Right now I have a ford 44 w/dodge knuckles and chevy spindles in my jeep.:tonka:

I'm curious though why you would want to put chevy or ford knuckles on it? I don't think they are any stronger.

Go to the junk yard on 8 mile by Hoover. They have a shit load of old 4x4 Dodges & Chevys. If you bring a sawzall you can just cut it off at the inner knuckle and you wouldn't even have to disassemble it there. I would bring at least 3 fully charged batteries though.

You would have to use chevy for the right and left to keep common brake hardware. Also on some Dodges the drivers side spindles don't use a axle shaft bearing inside of the spindle. They have a bearing inside the housing inside the tube of the axle. If you have a bearing and seal in the axle tube you would have to take out the needle bearing on the inside of that spindle.
