Default Ford ZF6 trans, not shifting into 3rd or 4th.

The truck is on the jobsite right now, because its towing and they need those gears to move it. They took out the lowest plug, and the fluid level is down below it. I know fluid won't help it shift, but that might be helpful info

sounds like some expensive synchro's to me.

Any help?

I am not sure on the six-speeds, but I do know that there is a cheap plastic bushing in the clutch linkage that can keep you from pushing the clutch in far enough to completely disengage it. It is like a replaceable socket for the clutch rod to ride in at the clutch pedal.

You can see the worn parts in this Ebay auction
