Default NV3550 or NSG370 in place of AX-15?

My buddy has just lost the clutch in his XJ, and is considering swapping the trans out when he's got it out.

Does anyone know if the NSG 370 would go in?

He's not worried about having to redo the crossmember, as long as it bolts to the engine and the T-case.

He's got a 97 XJ (Scooters old XJ), so it should be a 23 spline NV231.

The NV3550 is a direct replacement. I don't know about the other trans.

So long as you get the NSG 370 bellhousing off of a 05-present TJ it will bolt in as a replacement. They are 23 spline. Since DCX didn't change the 241J or the 231J t-cases in 2005.
