Default what the difference between Z71 shock and a regular

I'm looking to buy new shocks for my 92' Z71 1500. I looked at prices and some said not for Z71 and others said they were. i was just wondering what the difference between the shocks are?

But so did some regular 4x4's. My '99 Suburban has Bilsteins stock. Z71 package might be a better shock tho'.

My '98 Silverado has aluminum plates. I think it was some of the late S-10's that got plastic.
