Default 2000 gmc k2500 4x4 350

driving up north today from bay city..filled up at mijer in bay city next to 75... made it up to rose city exit.. truck was running good and all of asound fell on its face... got out shut it off.. wouldnt start again clicking.. that battery rattled loose... so i tightened and it it started right up... truck ran great... went up the road a little further about 5 10 miles and it did the same thing again...brand new fuel pump saturday... it is no whining really loud and truck runs lie shit.. wont hold a rev or nothing sometime i can stab the throttle and it will rev other times it will idle down to nothing and in like 3 seconds it will be back to idle. it taked for ever to get it up to speed and it once it gets there it only runs good for maybe a mile or 2 if lucky and it falls on its face again.. its running at normal temps and everything seems normal as well.. i have true duals on the truck with out a cross over or anything... the left side pipe smells normal... the right side had a really weird small and very strong... any ideas.....

ya he wont make it far enough to matter before it breaks down, you can push a truck back intothe garage pretty easy.

Im not overly sure what that system has in it but if it has a MAP sensor tap it with it running if it stalls when you tap it it's bad. thats all i can really think of at the moment.


edit:read it again was the tanker at the station when you got gas?? sounds like maybe bad gas try a bottle or 2 of dry gas

what user name said sounds pretty legit.

it could also maybe be the fuel filter?

maybe burned plugs or wires?

i thought of the plugs and wires john but it brings it self back to life almost.. i went up to mijers just now to get some dry gas.. they has iso dry miejers brand no dry gas there so i got a bottle of it and dumped it it... as well as a bottle of injector cleaner.. no difference as of yet. the pump is whining so bad like its gonna quite tommarow.. im pissed i just put the damn thing in this past saturday....

how do i go abouts checking the map sensor... jsut through a new one in there and see if it works or what...
