Sad to see that people still don't understand that KILLING is KILLING no matter how you word it.

I'm in favor of extending the fatal favor to the sperm donor.

Oh, and maybe you need to re-check how many trimesters there are. By your own concession you wish to kill yourself.

??? Dave ???
trimester = 3 months.... 30 x 3 = a little over 7 years old. I know Scottie acts like a 4 year old, but he's actually a little over 11 years old, maybe even 12 now.

I think Scottie is just saying that he hates little kids.

Probably because they won't get into his van no matter how many puppies he has.

A lady that I teach with has a bumper sticker that says:

Why do we kill people who kill people to show people that killing is wrong?

That is all I have for this thread.

I would like to say that is insightful, but I guess I assumed that was common knowledge. Two wrongs have never made a right.

I am willing to believe that the statistic about abortion is true, because it IS a living human being, and abortion is an attempt to END its life, so its not a stretch to believe the baby could remain alive, the same way that any living creature survives tough odds.

I am just so sick of abortion, and so sick of that kind of death being called good, and being commonly practiced.

Wayyy different stat. It isn't saying 1 in 30 pregnancies end with an abortion, it is saying that 1 in 30 abortions, the fetus/baby is alive.

maybe the 1 in 30 is in regards to partial birth abortions?? Which is a horribly disgusting act, and should be outlawed...if you can't make up your mind before 9 months...give the baby up for adoption!!

read the article.

It's 1 in 30 with regards to the specific procedure discussed, which involves giving the woman pills which induce a miscarriage.

given the description of the procedure, I'd beleive it.

yeah i know, i was just stating a fact from the past.

But back on topic, I don't think its my choice to make, and if you are against abortion then don't have one, and there are certain instances were aborting a pregnancy can be good. But mainly people just need to be responsible for their actions if they don't want to have a kid, they should do what they can to avoid it and not think about it after they are pregnant. But a lot of people are too stupid to figure this out, that if they have sex they might have a kid. You need a license for everything else, but you can have as many babies as you please.

yes, but what abortionists think should have no bearing on the rights of unborn babies.
I am personally sick of this infringement on the innocent.
If you don't like unborn babies, don't make one.

Unfortunatly the rights being infringed on don't only belong to the mother but the baby as well....are her rights more important because she has the ability to carry them out. The baby is helpless. Don't get hung up on the "when does it become a child" issue....if it is old enough and strong enough to survive an abortion, it is obviously not a blob. That is not just a religious view. That is scientific as well. Partial birth abortion stems from a religious view (it is not a child until the head is born).

I think society should concentrate less on whose rights are being violated and instead teach people to TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THEIR ACTIONS.
