it seems to me that all of the people who don't believe that global warming is real seem to just say "it's a cycle" with nothing to back it up. Scientists have drilled deep into the antactic ice caps to record co2 levels and temperatures from when the ice froze millions of years ago. YES THERE ARE CYCLES...and they directly correlate with co2 levels which are now significantly higher than ever before. Also, how do you explain that glacier national park is just about gone due to high temps, Alaskan diamond mines can't be reached because the trucks usually drive on frozen lakes, and polar bears are drowning because the icebergs are to few and too far apart. I have just given more evidence than all of the people who oppose global warming.

But what is causing it? Where is the proof that it's my fault?

seems like a wierd coincidence that the co2 levels decided to rise at the same time automobiles and machinery were invented and that people, cars, and various other machines/processes make co2.

Well I glad you proved that. Seems like we should shut done everything and send all our money to Al Gore.

I think you are proving our point. It could just as easily be a coincidence as a cause/effect relationship. You wouldn't know until you test the hypothesis. THAT is science.

You know what cracks me up?

When I was in school the greenies were pushing the global cooling balonga like it was the gospel. I had better shape up and do my part or my kids were going to be living in the next ice age.
Now it's warming? Whatever.

All these pollution 'experts' consistently ignore that volcanic erruptions put more junk in the air with one erruption than us mere humans do in a decade. At any given time there are several cracking off.

The earth has cycles. It is part of the living organism of things, the planet included. There is never a constant in nature. If CO2 levels are higher this century, just what exactly are we measuring that against? How can we possibly know what CO2 levels were in this area say 500 years ago? Ice core smples have shown widely varying results of what was in the air and water for centuries. So to play the game of "we mighty humans are in control" is pretty egotistical, eh?

The greenie movement, like most movements, started out with great intentions to clean up this country of ours. Unfortunatley it's more of a political movement these days pushing bad science to tax people higher. Ugh.

And, um, hello. I'm new here.
Heh.

i'm not trying to be a smartass, but could you send me a link to a site that shows human manufactured co2 vs volcanic outputs. I have read tons of articles that convey the opposite of what you are saying.

Better yet, since you've read so much.

Find one model that can explain the warming cycles from the past. Volcanoes, forest fires or manmade changes have happened and they should be able to show corresponding climate changes.

Not rhetoric from an ex VP and Weather Channel "professionals" that can't predict next week.

there is some quack out the that used a pretty good analogy about the earths weather patterns. he says something to the effect that if you painted a line, with the wheel of a train, from new york to l.a.; thats how long the earth has been around. then, he says the thickness of that paint, is how long we have been measuring the earths climates and weather. what i am trying to say is, we don't not squat about the earth's warming and cooling trends. lets face it, al gore is a genius, he invented the fucking internet man. we should just listen to al and pay him to remove our carbon footprint, so we can sleep well knowing we have done the world right.
