Seems a bit complicated to have to edit to a certain degree to get moved to completed sales instead of just saying sold and reporting the SOLD post to you.

I'm referring to the act of editing. More than one click is required in order to get to a point where you can edit more than just the body of the post.

Should the Edit button take you directly to the "Go Advanced" page in order to simplify things? The Go Advanced button is a commonly overlooked feature, as people don't expect buttons to actually change their function.

I'm pretty sure that you can edit the topic by simply double clicking to the right of the words from the thread view list.

For instance, go back to "site comments, issues, or suggestions", then next to the "Veering from the norm"? (to the right of it) doubleclick. It should make the subject into a editable box. You can double click anywhere in the thread box of your post, as long as you don't click on the words. The words will of course take you to this thread.

I did that mod a while back, and I don't think I told anybody about it.

I was simply refering to having a post where someone noted sold but the mod not willing to move it to completed sales until the Title says sold. Seems a bit repetitive. Either way, I honestly could care less, I will try to obide by the rules.

It will be moved. But it is much easier if the title says sold, so we don't have to look through each for sale item every hour to see if it has sold.

Yes. What I do is perform occasional Advanced Searches in each of the Marketplace Forums, filtering for "sold" in the title only. Opening up the search to include the full thread turns up too many hits and requires a lot of review, as people frequently say "when its sold...", "if its sold...", or "is it sold?".

Besides that, editing the title is what really makes sense anyway, as that's the first thing people read from the Forum Index. Its annoying to read through a multi-page thread of an item you are interested in just to find out that the last post says "sold" and they didn't update the title or even the first post.

I have to say, I have used the "completed sales" forum twice in the last week to purchase items at a "fair price" with someone before they put the items up in the marketplace.
