Default Electric Fan Install

Okay...finally...my electric fan install. Fan is a two-speed Taurus fan I picked up from a Two Tracker for $20.

I cut the coolant bottle bracket portion off the old shroud and screwed it to the new fan. Power steering bottle is zip-tied to the coolant bottle. Seems pretty stable even if it is ghetto fabbed.

Here's the DC Control unit...I mounted it to the inner fender well below the air box simply because it was close to the fan wires and there was plenty of room there.

Here's a view from the passenger side. Attached the fan ground to the top of the c-clip. Routed the battery wire from the DC Control unit along the battery cable from the winch. The ignition and ac control wore are routed up the passenger side and across the firewall.

Used a 30 amp fuse between the DC Control unit and the battery.

The AC control wire is spliced into the AC 12v wire (blue with black stripe) right off the connector on the firewall.

Ran the ignition wire from the DC Control unit to a toggle switch that is grabbing power from the cigarette lighter. Allows me to shut down the fan for water crossings.

Does moving up to 37's count as enough of a reason to update my build thread?

Sure it does. I put a Dodge Durango steering box on my 2002 TJ ... Didn't feel the need to do a write up on it though ...
