Default I just lost my godamnit tool

Actually it was more of a stupid god damn mother... when I stripped my steering box bolt into the frame and ripped a 1inch section of skin off my knuckle in the same movement (while wearing gloves even)

so yeah threw my 1/2 socket wrench (which of course also had my 1/4 to 3/8 impact adapter on it and a socket) at the wall.

guess what it went through the drywall and down, I fuckin quit, just spent the last 2 months fixing one damn thing after another and spending more on it than I could ever get for it, seriously fukc the jeep thing.

I feel for you, I was outside pulling my rear axle yesterday, and I managed smashing my fingers between my broken leaf spring and the pavement. Thought I broke 2 of my fingers and went to the er to get them x-rayed. Not broken, but my fingernail should be falling off soon.

I just spent a few hundred fixing things that have been neglected for months, then my Jeep was totaled. F this Jeep thing.

You first need to develop a better relationship with your jeep. Seems to me you lose patience without understanding your problem first. Your jeep is an engineering marvel. YOu are nothing more than a descendant of apes wielding hand tools in a futile attempt to understand mechanics. Go eat a bananna.

Yeah ,my efforts are now going into finding a good job and buying new/restored vehicles and paying tons of money to a mechanic to fix crap like this.

I feel your pain. I just spent a week and a half rebuilding a trans, was up til 3 am last night installing it.

Now the trans still doesn't work, the starter has died and my nuetral safety switch is fucked.

Once that list is done I have to replace the manifold, and repair a rust hole in the passener side floorboard. not to mention the trac-bar bushing that seems to want to wear at an insanely high rate. DOH

I under stand the jeep thing, Thats way i drive a toyota.
Every one has there problems though. Right now i still have some weird vibrations on my truck from the last mounds trip (chili run), just hoping the drive shaft is not bent. Need to start figuring it out before the silver lake trip. Needs to be relieable to drive 5 hours north, wheel hard for 4 or 5 days and drive back. Dont like going slow on the dunes if i dont have to. Good luck getting the tools out of the wall.

Yea I had your problem... till I realized that my jeep was a masacist. I find that using an impact to undo bolts I rarely have brake bolts anymore, either that or she just likes the vibes.

edit: Another perk of using an impact if you do throw it into a wall you got a way to get it back out

I am confused....so you tossed your 1/2 in RATCHET (socket wrench)? and it had a 1/4 to 3/8 adapter on it? There are so many combo's here....

Did you weld the 1/4 end to the ratched and then put a 3/8 socket on there....

or

Did you mean a 3/8 to 1/4 adapter and you had that welded to the 1/2 ratchet, in which case why were you using 1/4 sockets?

I think the "Jeep Thing" is fine....it's your tool use and selection that needs work.:tonka: :tonka: :tonka: :tonka: :tonka:

haha, my winch is broken. I need to send it to Warn for them to repair it. I go to remove it, winch line wont free spool. Hooked winch line to reciver of my Ram and tried to pull out the line, only ended up pulling the Ram. Now i have no clue what to do. Either somehow fix the freespool issue which is most likely impossible since i have an ARB bumper, or cut my synthetic winch line. Either way im fucked. And once that issue is repaired, i then have a multitude of others to fix.

Ive always HATED!!! the statement "Its a Jeep thing, you wouldnt understand". I now think it should go something like this, "Its a Jeep thing, and unless your broke and your Jeep is too, you dont know shit."

Its also find it necessary to invest in things that you dont care about breaking once you get angry. I like to take an empty ruffneck garbage can and beat the shit out of it when i get good and pissed. That way nothing gets damaged and my anger have been diverted. If that dont work, i sware very loudly.
