Default Looking for a job/experience (Traverse City)

I am looking for a job dealing with anything automotive in Traverse City. I have applied at numerous places in the last 6 months like Love Your Car, MTA, 4 or so quick lubes, GTA, Bill Marsh, Williams, 2 autobody shops, and a few for detailing.

I am 17 untill May, I attend TBA for Auto Mechanics, and making pizza is doing nothing for me. I need a job where I will be learning something.

I am just looking for any type of experience dealing with vehicles and this will also help me out with a credit I need for school to graduate on time this year. My current boss has lost the sheet I need for the credit twice so far.

I will count bolts or sweep floors for 12 hours if it means getting my foot in the door.

If anyone can help me out, please let me know!

Call the napa parts store I think you can even get class credit. Surprisingly you learn quite a bit about parts working there plus you get a discount and the guys are pretty cool there. Just a thought

Be persistent with a place you want to work at. They will either hire you or kick your ass, but your young. You will heal quick.

its not about paying the bills, he is still in high school, its about getting work credit for school in a field that you learn something, its about starting off on the right foot when he graduates, something I never did and should have.

I will check with Napa tomorrow while I am out. I have to go pick up some tubing in town for my new exhaust.

I went to Carquest a couple days ago too, no luck.

I think a big reason is just the time of year it is right now.

A couple guys I went to Central with might still work at Bill Marsh. I'll try and talk to them for you.

A little off topic: Do you know if Mr. Hutchinson still teaches CAD at TBA?

I'm not sure. The name sounds kind of familiar, my instructor might have mentioned the name before.
