Default IT folks... activity Logger?

Ok what i'm looking for is a program that log activity, not exact events, but activity at a computer. i.e. To monitor someone working at home instead of an office.

So that Big Daddy can see that little billy is in fact at home working

Hopefully they aren't on this web site because it looks like the majority of GL4x4ers are slackers.

Actually this would be for big brother to monitor me. I just got a lucrative full-time job offer, but they want me to go into an office everyday not for me.
There go i'm looking for alternate solutions. And since I have 4 computers (oh make that 5) they dont all have to be connected :)

Well, if you're talking just LOB apps, and they have Citrix or Terminal Server, they could shadow your session whenever. If you're talking Avid/Final Cut, etc, you could VPN in to TX with a VNC client installed (there are several free ones for the Mac) and allow them to connect whenever they feel like to see what you're doing (on that particular computer). That's not necessarily a logging scenario per se, but would allow for them to monitor you on one computer at will.

not sure how much logging capability it has, but OC uses a combination of TSCensus to inventory applications installed/running and DameWare for most workstations - as well as a whole host of Citrix applications.

the specifics you mentioned are overwhelming.

but naturally it depends on the nature of the network/vpn/access you already have.

DameWare is just one example of software where you can remote into a machine, and watch, or take over...

but here, I figured I'd help out in an other way too. http://www.google.com/search?source=...=Google+Search

I have a suit, and anyways it'd be khaki's and a Polo.

Problem is I'd work for the Dallas office (I already do in a free-lance capacity anyway), There is a chicago office which I would have to go to, but I wouldn't be doing anything related to what the branch is doing so I may as well work from home with better equipment.
