CC has mentioned that he has a number of dashes in other threads. PM him and see if he has a speedo.

I'm putting this in the Pub so you can get some quick exposure.

X2. I know that 2250 rpm on the highway is 70 mph for me.

And 15,000 rpm in second gear on my bike is 95... :tonka:

Read his post, he was given a fix a ticket. Knowing his speed by his tach won't fix that....

I know when my speedo stoped working on my 92 YJ it was just the printed cirucit on the guage cluster. I would check that first.

But if he knew his speed, he might not have been speeding, right?

I'm not arguing that, but it still doesn't help him now, to avoid the ticket and or points he needs to fix the current problem.

maybe he knew his speed, but pretended not to and now only has a fix-it ticket

BTW how the hell do you prove it now works? And did they just take your word for it that it didnt work?

I have one I could sell you for $500. I also have another one, but the speedo doesn't work I would be willing to sell for $250. Or I could LOAN one for $75 rental fee with a fully refundable $200 deposit.

I am sure we can work something out since you seem desperate.

I have no Idea. And yes, he asked if I knew how fast I was going, I said no, my speedometer doesnt work. Cop went to his car....a minute later he gives me a fix it ticket.

1 offer pending and 1 to fall back on

Thanks for all the offers, glad to see I can still count on fellow web wheelers.

On a side note, Shroyer Auto Parts in Lansing told me they didn't have a working speedometer when I called yesterday (I was there a week ago and checked out a YJ they had there so I knew they possibly had one), today they show up on car-parts.com with one (didn't yesterday)...they received a very nice call to say the least.

I got this taken care of.

Interested in how they checked that I actually fixed it?

Went in to the courthouse, gave the secretary the ticket, she calls an officer in, he looks at it, laughs, asks how is he supposed to check this..looks at me with a shit eating grin and asks if I honestly got it fixed, I say yes and he signs off on it. The End.

Thanks for the help.
