Default CompUSA closing 126 US stores

Just heard about this today that CompUSA is closing about half of their stores, and heard from an employee that they are closing all of the stores in MI. Not sure if that last bit is true or not, but at the store here in Novi, the receipts say somewhere that all sales are final.

Heres an article on it.

Man, that sucks. A lot of time their sale prices are cheaper than Best Buy's or Circuit City's. Guess I'll be sticking with buy.com and newegg.

Possibly when they come closer to closing. I heard it would be about 60 to 90 days from now though.

Thats wierd, we do a lot of their service work, and they seemed to be doing just fine, adding new help desks and what not.

they add and remove new programs like that left and right. you'd see something cool and unique, and then a week later they'd shut down the program and move onto the next idea.

my company's been one of their corporate customers for 5 years, cause its about 5 minutes down the road, and their prices are competative... its gonna suck not having the convenience of having the products they offered 5 mins away

I just heard on WXYZ that they are closing all stores in MI but the Lansing store as part of restrcturing due to competition. There will be liquidation sales soon, but they didn't say when.
