Default I need some creative baking help

My sons cub scout troop is having a father son "He Man" cake baking contest and I'm trying to think of a design to put on a cake. He wants a monster truck or jeep or something climbing rocks or at least driving up a hill. Everything used must be edible and no woman can help in the making of this (ideas are fine). does anyone know where I can get a candy mold of a monster truck ? or how I could make one without poisening anyone (we may have to eat it.

The categories are :
Judges choice
most original
most appropriatly named
largest
smallest
Best scouting theme
yummiest looking cake
most slanted cake

I was thinking of buying a rock crawler toy from walmart and using the body to mold chocolate in for the truck/jeep shape and I'm sure the cake it's self will be lumpy but we want to use brownies to make a rugged rocky surface.

Bad news is we must make this for the meeting this tuesday so if any one has any idea's please throw them my way.

I have some t-max bodies that would make a good jello mold..

If you need one, let me know, they are think plastic, so I do not think they will tarnish the jello!

You could always use like big gum drops for the wheels and maybe use a twinkie for the jeep and try to shape it somehow.. THats just what came to mind...

Or you could try and make cupcakes and try to form them together.

then for the rocks just get another cupcake or twinkie and try to make it look miss shapped. this is all just fine the right foods. if it was me thats what i would use and just play with it till it looked right..

Good Luck

i did this with my parents when i was a cub scout, many years ago. I think we made an 12x9 cake, then we took a toy bigfoot put oroes on the wheels and had it crushing chocolate cars. We made the cake look like an arena and decorated it with all kinds of candy.

I cant use toys in it but I did just go to the store and buy some oreo's. It looks like I'm gonna use my dremel and sculpt a monster truck out of brownie. Maybe I will leave the brownies a little mushy and make a turd mobile :)

Go to the store and buy some candy, gum drops, marshmellows etc, can use candy bar's for body and cookies for wheels. and jelly beans for rocks.

here did a google for ya
http://images.google.com/images?svnu..._s&q=jeep+cake

that should give you some ideas.
