Crandon, WI Jeep Jamboree

Has anyone been to the Crandon, WI Jeep Jamboree? I know that it is off in the distant future but I was wondering if anyone could give me some info on the trails, camping, the ferry ride over there, and the general expirience. I'm pretty sure that my Dad and I will be heading out there for the Jamboree in September. Thanks in advance.

i will be headed there for the off road races again this year.i will take the car ferry out of ludington again.it lands a lot closer to crandon than the other one.it sure beat driving through chicago.i've gone both ways around the lake.the race is on labor day week end and that's a really bad week-end to get accross the macinac bridge.besides my m725 gets 5 m.p.g. it's cheaper to go on the badger.the country is beautiful up there.lot's of lakes and forest.i can't help with camping ,we always camp at the track.

I went a couple of years ago and had a good time. The trails went through some great countryside that had several levels of challenges from mild on up. The 4wd group that puts it on has been involved for more than 10 years and really knows what it's doing when it comes to organizing the Jamboree and finding trails to run. It was a good experience, albeit a little pricey because it's a Jamboree.

I can't help you with the ferry because I drove up and over to get there -- I had the time and made seeing the terrain between Lansing and Crandon part of the experience.
